How to request deletion
Students, parents and teachers can delete their account from inside the app (More > Delete account) or on the website (Settings > Delete account); you confirm with your password so nobody else can delete your account from an unlocked device. You can also email us. Institute administrator accounts are closed through VriseEdu support.
What gets deleted vs. retained
Deleted: your profile information (name, email, phone number, photo, date of birth) and your private learning activity, such as your own AI doubt conversations.
Kept but no longer linked to you: messages you wrote to other people, such as a teacher’s answers to a student’s doubt or a student’s question to a teacher, stay visible to the people you helped and show as written by a “Former teacher” or “Former student”.
Retained where legally required: financial records (for tax/audit purposes), and records needed for security or dispute resolution, kept only as long as the law requires and then removed.
Timeline and consequences
Your account is deactivated and you are signed out on every device as soon as you ask. Your personal information is then deleted after a short waiting period (you are shown the exact date when you ask). Signing in again during that period cancels the request. After the waiting period deletion is irreversible; for an active subscription, the remaining term is forfeited unless a refund is separately due under the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
Your institute is told about the request and may delete the account sooner, or keep it where it has a legal or financial reason to (for example unpaid fees); you will be told the reason and your access is restored in that case.
For institutional (tenant-owned) student records, the institute controls that data; a student’s personal account can be deleted, but records the institute is required to retain (e.g. for its own compliance) remain with the institute.
